Quick English Vietnamese Phrases

I create this Quick English Vietnamese Phrases long time ago. I still gets a lot of hit on the Web. I convert the old version so it works with Blogger here. I will clean up all the encode soon so it displays Vietnamese characters correctly. Check it out.

  • I am half Vietnamese, and when I was little my father taught me a few things like my numbers, but I haven't seen him in eight years, and I yearn to know more of my Vietnamese heritage, and growing up in a small town, where there hardly is anyone like me is difficult, but thank you so much for this site, it's helped me learn more. My dream is to someday be able to speak my language, and someday visit my father's homeland.

    and, "I love you."

    Thank you!

  • Ok, I just check my QEVP and must admit there are still a lot of work need to be done. There are some WAV files that doesn't sound when you click on them. And there are still a lot of words with no sound files. I promise to get them fix by this year. This is also your chance to send in your request on other Vietnamese phrases that you want to include. I know "I love you" is popular phrase that I left out. Will do it soon.

  • I was trying to listen to the pronounciation of the vietnamese words, and towards the middle and end of the list, i got an error message saying that the sound information was in bad or damaged format. I was wondering if there was a way to fix that error.

    thankyou very much,
    Brandy

  • Thank you so much for this site! I am a junior high english teacher in Dallas, and this has helped me quite a bit in understanding the difficulties my vietnamese students face with the differences in linguistics. It's also fun to be able to say things like 'hello' and 'thank you' at my favorite pho place!

  • Hi, I spent a whirlwind month in Vietnam and while I was there I met a man. I just got home and found out I am pregnant, we agreed to keep in touch, but I was wondering, how would I say 'You are going to be a father. Congratulations' in Vietnamese?
